Mr Chaudhri saw me on the Tuesday, when he examined me a discussed my history and treatment. We agreed on an operation date (the following Saturday!).
Operation took place and all went well, discharged same evening.
Very little pain from surgical procedure. Recovery going well.

My experience is of a private consultation following a positive FIT test, leading to CT colonography and 2mm + 10mm polypectomy under mild sedation. Mr Chaudhri has very good soft skills, making him very easy to talk to. My impression is of a kind, considerate man as well as an excellent surgeon. In the operating theatre, I found Mr Chaudhri to be calming and confident, whilst adding a little humour during the procedure to put me at my ease. The polypectomy was performed quickly using a cauterising snare without complications and without bleeding at any stage. His team, the support staff, and the facilities at the Spire in Leicester were also excellent throughout. Luckily, the polyps had a complete benign histology. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Mr Chaudhri, and I hope to have him as my surgeon for the followup colonoscopy in a few years.

Mr Chaudhri is a general surgeon with a special interest in minimal invasive surgery and offers laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and diverticular disease. These techniques are associated with better cosmetic result, less postoperative pain and quicker patient recovery. Other surgical interests include the treatment of large complex abdominal hernias, newer operations for haemorrhoids, anal fistulas and fissures. He also undertakes joint surgery for complex and severe endometriosis.
